Carol Asks for Your Vote Nov. 5
(English text followed by Spanish)
Nearly eight years ago, the voters of the 95th Legislative District went to the polls and honored me with your vote. You helped me achieve a historic win for our district and I couldn’t be more grateful.
During my tenure, we did what we know works best. I have hosted events that are important to the residents of my district. The best part of it all has been that we met each other.
How I won and have continued to win is my positive message of issues that are important to all of us in the 95th. But the hard work is only beginning.
I’m very excited to continue to serve as your Representative both in Harrisburg and right here in the district. My office philosophy will continue to be “open for business for everyone," with the excellent constituent service you have come to expect.
Experience Matters – and I have the experience necessary to continue to bring resources to and highlight the great district in which we live, work and play.
PROMISES MADE – PROMISES KEPT
When you sent me to Harrisburg, I promised to do something about property taxes. I was the prime sponsor of HB1100, providing a much-needed boost for our 65+ seniors, putting up to $1,000 back in their pockets.
I promised to help with education and funding, and voted NO on school voucher programs that would put an extra financial burden on our school districts and tax-paying citizens. I voted YES on level-up funding that provides additional dollars to our under-performing school districts.
I promised to make legislative changes to improve the lives of our veterans, and was the prime sponsor of legislation that provides Post Conviction Review for incarcerated veterans who may have committed crime(s) while experiencing PTSD and/or TBI as a direct result of their service to our country. I also introduced legislation that would identify and help our homeless veterans find housing while receiving resources to help become stable, employed residents.
I promised to advocate for increased funding and resources for mental health. I voted YES on 2023-2024 budget that proposes millions of additional dollars to our schools and social organizations that provide mental health services.
My drive has always been to bring positive change to the community I have lived in my entire life. Graduating from William Penn High School, I earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Penn State York, and have a long history of public service in the 95th — including eight years on York City Council.
If you honor me with your vote this Nov. 5, I will continue to serve with integrity and work hard for the people of the 95th.
